H-certified and a member of Organization of Swedish Dog Professionals

I am proud to have been approved by the Organization of Swedish Dog Professionals (Sveriges Hundföretagare) and received the H-certification – a seal of quality for dog professionals in Sweden.

To receive this certification, the following are required for Dog Instructors and Trainers:
 

  • Completion and approval of a dog trainer education program that meets the standards of the Organization of Swedish Dog Professionals, Sveriges Hundföretagare.

  • A registered business with a valid tax certificate.

  • An ethical and professional approach in line with the organization’s policy.
     

My education included over 130 teacher-led hours and practical supervised sessions, where I deepened my knowledge in subjects such as:
 

  • Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA): Understanding how dogs learn and how we as trainers can apply learning theory effectively.

  • Ethology: The natural behaviors of dogs and their meanings.

  • Breed Knowledge: Differences between breeds and their specific needs.

  • Canine Communication: Reading and understanding a dog’s signals and communication.

  • Canine Development and Aging: How dogs grow and change through different life stages.

  • Enrichment and Activation: Providing dogs with a richer life through mental and physical stimulation.

  • Preventing Behavioral Issues: Proactive approaches to avoid problems.

  • Stress Symptoms and Simple Interventions: Identifying and managing stress in dogs.

  • Fundamental Training for Everyday Life: Practical skills for a smooth daily routine.

  • Animal Welfare Legislation: Rules and laws that protect animal welfare.

  • Common Diseases and Basic Preventive Care: Recognizing symptoms and promoting health.

  • Optimizing the Learning Environment for Dogs and Owners: Creating a safe and effective learning space.

  • Pedagogy and Course Design: Planning and delivering courses for dog owners.

  • First Aid for Dogs: Basic skills for handling emergencies.

  • Infection Control and Disease Prevention: Protecting dogs from illnesses.

  • Collaboration Across Professions: Working with other professional groups within the dog industry.

  • Professional Client Interaction: Ensuring a positive experience for dog owners.
